Access Restrictions at Middle Dam – Summer/Fall 2025
As we enter the final year of the reconstruction of Middle Dam, fishing access will be restricted over the course of the coming months. Construction activities will require crane use, which will periodically restrict access across the dam bridge. Recreators should proceed with caution along the earthen embankment access road and dam bridge. Exclusion areas will be created around work zones, when necessary, but please be diligent in staying away from active work. Due to varying weather conditions and other mitigating circumstances, these plans are subject to change without prior notice.
Various recreational access restrictions are envisioned throughout 2025. Currently planned closures include the following but are subject to change without prior notice.
JUNE 2025
June 9-20: South Spillway Rehabilitation – Intermittent closures to the downstream Fishing Piers during work hours.
June 23-27: Pier 5 Fisherman Walkway Installation – Closure of the Northern Shoreline during work hours.
JULY-AUGUST 2025
